We are hiring a "Payroll Specialist" for one of our premium clients, which is the global leader in online food delivery.
About this role:
In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide outstanding Payroll processing for our payroll. You and your team’s efforts will directly influence the organisation’s value proposition by ensuring accurate and timely compensation to the workers, supporting a great worker experience, engagement and retention. There will be close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including Finance, Hr Operations, and Service Management.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for ~500 employees in Belgium (blue and white collar), including all payments, deductions, and statutory obligations (taxes, social security, etc.).
- Reconcile payroll data and review provider output to ensure correct processing of starters, leavers, absences, and variable inputs.
- Manage payroll-related queries through our People Portal, ensuring timely and value-aligned responses.
- Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to provide accurate payroll reports and GL outputs.
- Support compliance by staying updated on payroll legislation and contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes.
- Assist with benefits administration, provider communications, and maintaining internal payroll and benefits documentation.
What will you bring to the table?
- Proven payroll experience in a fast-paced environment, with deep knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and high PC literacy.
- Proven ability to accurately process, balance, and reconcile payrolls with a strong focus on data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid analytical, numeracy, and decision-making skills, paired with strong time management and organisational capabilities.
- Experience working with payroll providers, managing compliance, and delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
